This painting was probably one of the most relaxing art experiences I've had in a while. I started this piece yesterday morning and finished it this morning. Whenever I struggle with a piece I will just leave it alone for a couple of days- but not with this one. With this one, I made the decision over and over again to just let it flow As there were several moments where I just gave way to whatever came next. And those moments / chances and experiences turned into THE most " beautifulest" surprises. 😳😮😯😬👧🏽. They were the most freeing and creative moments. I am in love love love with this painting because of all of the unexpected textures throughout and "art bombs" / surprises I discovered while making it. The words came as I thought about a previous painting that I have a friend - a reminder that we are always connected in Spirit. Always. ❤️👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽😁😊😀

"First and Last Light" unlike most of the morning paintings I do- this one took a couple of days to come together- so I just decided to let it have its way and flow. In the end, there are a couple of things I would have done differently like adding more light magenta on the upper left side. But ultimately as my views of life evolve, I find myself more and more paralleling life with my art techniques. In the case of this painting- I let it flow and then let it rip at the end with the splatters.
